Rideing Pine Records

Rideing Pine Records was created circa 2003 when a couple of friends came together with the goal of producing music cheaply for their peers. Ultimately, no physical releases were ever made due to limited budgets, however, plenty of songs and recordings were made using cassette tape recorders and eventually digital sound editors. Each of these early recordings were distributed via the internet through MySpace and E-mail. The Rideing Pine Records collection has grown over the years and will continue to grow as more artists contribute their music free of royalties for public consumption. The name Rideing Pine comes from an old baseball joke where a player sits on the bench for an entire game and the name is intentionally misspelled for undisclosed reasons. We are located in Riverside, California and if you have music you would like to release under Rideing Pine Records email us at rideingpinerecords [at] gmail [dot] com.

I called you. Not to speak. Only to listen. Your past, beliefs, ambitions, and even your face remain unknown, but,for a moment,I heard your voice and imagined who you are. Three months passed while I called and listened, each person became a new moment or, as they say, a new wrinkle on the brain. Over hundreds and thousands of miles I listened. I heard your southern twang and your french Canadian pep. I listened to your breathing, heard your children playing, and felt myself lulled by the timid...

Opposite Delaney was really a bullshit way of making money. Me and my buddy Joe were hanging out at his house one day when we started messing around with his old acoustic guitar. I started using a cheap harmonica Joe had recently bought, a Hohner “Old Standby,” and I had a natural ability to play whatever came to mind. I could just think up any song and start to play it. Joe then started goofing around with a couple of chords and we wrote some songs that were easy to change and improvise on...

Between late 2004 and early 2005, The Big Print Gram Craker's were keeping themselves busy during winter break when they came up with a brilliant idea. They would make a rap album, burn a ton of copies, and hand them out as gifts to the world. To add to the challenge they decided that, in order to make the album a real hit, they needed to stay awake for long periods of time before writing any music and that the album had to be as long as their CD-Rs allowed. The recording process ran smoothly...

Everything was recorded live and raw in one session. No autotune or second chances. Untamed rock and roll at it's best.
